Ganguly collisions

This is sourav ganguly in his early days. Poor ganguly is literally brought down, not once but twice by South African players. It may seem as a funny incident but what happened after this showed the true sportsman's spirit of the then south african skipper Late Hansie cronje. Because of the collisions sourav ganguly was run out, but Cronje withdrew the appeal and let ganguly play on. Hats off Hansie.

Bee attack

These are funny pictures of srilankan and english cricket players and umpires diving for cover against the furious attack of a swarm of bees during the test match between srilanka and england at kandy.

Tennis or circus

Now this tennis player has some talent. He deserves more spectators than there are.

Where is the umpire?

It was a cricket match between west indies and india at jamaica. Brian lara and Ramnaresh sarwan were batting. While attempting a quick single, there was a mix up and suresh raina, the fielder threw down the stumps at laras end and all the indian fielders turned to umpire Billy doctrove at square leg to appeal, only to find there was no billy doctrove at all. Doctrove was nowhere to be seen in the field. Seconds later Doctrove came ambling into the field unaware of what all the pandemonium was about. The other umpire Asad rauf, not knowing how to proceed, ruled that a dead ball. Luckily for Doctrove, replays confirmed that Lara had made his ground before the ball hit the stumps.

The pitcher hits bang on target!!!

lou vincent loses pants

This is very funny indeed. Lou vincent of newzealand who is a very good fielder lives up to his reputation. He does not even mind losing his pants in the process of saving a boundary.

The man who played golf on the moon

Playing golf on the moon is one of the last things you would expect any man to do, but Alan Bartlett Shepard, Jr, the fifth person to walk on the moon did it during the apollo 14 mission. He played golf with a Wilson six-iron head which was attached to a lunar scoop handle. Since he was wearing a very thick astronaut's suit he could swing the golf club with only with a single hand.

The picture shows shepard taking a swing with his club.

I wouldn't want to be the guy in left

They were supposed to play basketball, they mistook the game to be rugby i guess.

This player would lose his head than lose the game:)

Ouch!!! He chose to kick some other ball :)

True sportsmanship

This is michael schumacher consoling mika hakkinen at the end of 2001 spanish grand prix. Hakkinen was leading the race and was ahead of schumacher by more than 30 seconds, which is a huge lead in F1. when he started the last lap. But unfortunately, due to a clutch problem he couldn't complete the race by virtue of which schumacher finished winner. But being the true sportsman that schumacher is, went straight to hakkinen after the race to console him. He went on to say "I have to say I feel very sorry for Mika" and said "This is not the way I like to win".

Here is seen English allrounder Flintoff consoling Brett lee of australia. This happened in the historic ashes series in 2005 at england. The match in focus is that held at Birmingham. Australia chasing 282 for victory lost their way and 9 wickets with only 220 on board. Brett lee and Kasprowicz held on fighting. Just when victory was in sight and only 3 runs away, kasprowicz lost his wicket and Brett lee almost broke down crying. That's when Andy flintoff went to him even before celebrating a rare victory against the aussies to console him.

Chequered flag

Now he is a real F1 enthusiast!!!

Funny picture

Typical australian arrogance in display. Here they have all 9 fielders around the batsman to get him out. The batsman in subject is a poor English number 11.
